EmPoWER supports individuals and families with making positive lifestyle choices by promoting healthy, drug-free communities through education, collaboration, and connection to resources. Middle Earth is a nonprofit agency that mentors youth by helping to foster life skills as well as preparing for the employment process. Students can participate in volleyball, basketball, relay races, tie-dye, slime making and more. Safe Night is a national substance abuse and violence prevention program for youth that promotes having fun without the use of alcohol, drugs, weapons, or arguments. Students will receive three and a half hours of community service learning. This is a fun event with food and activities for students in grades seven to twelve to occur on Saturday, May 6, from 5 to 9 p.m., at the Franklin Youth Center, on 429 Lewis St. Register for “Field Day,” a Safe Night event for teens hosted by the Somerset County Youth Council.
